Update: Back to Homestay

Hey Everyone,

We’re headed back to homestay until August 5th at which point we will be back in Tubaniso and will finally find out what our site assignment is! We’re VERY excited about that.  Also, Jim and I both have cellphones now and can receive calls for free. So let us know if you’d like to connect next time we are in town.

  1. Hey Guys! Glad all is going as well as could be! Your posts are very interesting and give great insight into your living conditions and Mali in general, it is very fascinating to both Tracy and I. Joye - Happy belated birthday, we loved the picture of your birthday climb up the rocks - It looks very beautiful! Jim - Now that you guys have mountain bikes you are probably wishing you wouldn't have sold your bike helmet at our garage sale! :) Keep up the good work and great posts, we are praying for you regularly. We recently went out to Dinner with Steve & Allison and they told us to tell you hi and they are praying for you guys as well. Take Care and can't wait to hear for you guys again soon!

  2. Joye, my home cell phone is set up to receive international calls. So I'd like you to try calling it sometime. Can't wait to catch up on Aug 5.

  3. Just wanted to mention again how much I admire your courage in such an adventure! I hope the first few weeks living at your permanent site go smoothly. As an anthropology nerd, I find the Malian culture fascinating. Just remember that I'm praying for both of you and can't wait to read more about your adventures! Be safe.
